Nobody wants to be an addict, and if you abuse alcohol and/or drugs, chances are you want to stop. Whether you like horses or not, Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) will help you discover the reasons you use and assist you in finding the solutoins to get your life back. Each week you and the other group members will be assigned an activity that involves one or more horses and relates to one of the 12-steps. No riding is involved and most times the activity requires you to use your creativity, get your mind thinking and develop a relaitonship with a horse or horses. Very little "talk therapy" is done as the activity is meant to be more about self-discovery than analysis by a professional. The program isled by a team consisting of a Horse Professional and a Drug/Alcohol Counselor, both certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA)in EAP.

Cost is $420 for the 12-week program

To register, contact Cristi Silverberg-Rose at 714.318.3498 or crose@bethanysgait.org.

To ensure each client gets individual attention, only 8 spots are available in each session; at least 5 people must register for the program to take place.
