Press Releases
Redlands, CA (August 15, 2010) – Benchmark is proud to announce our educational options for Fall, 2010.
High School
Benchmark is one of the only young adult programs to offer an integrated, on-site high school component. We currently have 7 students enrolled in our Benchmark Young Adult School high school curriculum. Those students will be working one-on-one with our educational staff to facilitate a WASC-accredited high school diploma. Benchmark is a fully accredited Academic Institution with NPSAG. Our high school curriculum is available throughout the year and there is no additional charge for high school at Benchmark Transitions!
College
Over 27 Benchmark students are currently enrolled in traditional academic classes* at local community colleges for the Fall semester. Students attend classes at local schools, Crafton Hills and San Bernardino Valley Community Colleges. Both colleges are affiliated with the University of CA and California State University system programs and offer fully accredited academic programs. Although Fall classes have already begun, we assess transcripts and implement an educational plan immediately for each student who enrolls, placing students in classes as quickly as possible.
Internships
Benchmark students are working as interns in fields such as Physical Therapy Aide and Veterinary Technician! Other programs are available and we will work with our students to help them obtain internship hours for their field of study.
Vocational Programs
Benchmark has recently launched a Computer Network Technician Program and students are in the community getting hands-on training and paid jobs in programs such as massage therapy, wind-turbine mechanics, automotive mechanics and many others*!
Work Skills at Benchmark
Hands-on projects are designed to instill core values such as work ethic, project & time management, task completion and pride of workmanship. Benchmark has a long history of working with both traditional and non-traditional learners. Our experience allows us to provide both an academic and vocational program that meets each student's individual needs. We look forward to helping you find the best program for your struggling young adult students.
*Some additional charges may apply. Please contact Shelley Skaggs at 800-474-4848 or via email at sskaggs@benchmarkyas.com for additional details.
