Rehab, Recovery, Aftercare & Sober Living
The Recovery & Aftercare rehab program at Benchmark is a 6- to 12-month long alcohol and drug recovery and aftercare program that is designed to provide a more comprehensive treatment for addiction and abuse than a traditional stand-alone treatment program.
For our students who have exhibited ANY history of behaviors of alcohol and other drug (AOD) use, addiction or abuse, we have implemented the Matrix Model 12-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which is Level I of our all-inclusive addiction recovery treatment model. Benchmark can also accommodate court order sentencing agreements for drug and/or alcohol-related offenses, or for other infractions such as shoplifting, as an alternative to incarceration or to fulfill probationary sentences. This program has been integrated with our life skills and educational curriculum and is specifically designed as a step-down for young adults who are coming out of wilderness, primary residential and/or therapeutic boarding schools. It is also an effective program for students who have not had any prior addictions treatment. Benchmark Recovery & Aftercare™ program is offered for a minimum of six months and provides emerging adults with the recovery, the after-care, the sober living and the real-world experience that has proven to be most effective for long term recovery.

Most apartments have two bedrooms with common bathroom, living area, kitchen & dining area, with 3-4 students per apartment. There are generally two students per room, four students per apartment. Certified Life Coaches, mentors and night watch counselors are staffed throughout the day and awake/patrolling the grounds at night.
Alternative to Court Sentencing
Benchmark Transitions™ is a highly structured residential transitional living program for 18-28 year old men and women, providing clinical treatment, addiction recovery & aftercare, education, occupational training and life skills. We are staffed with certified life coaching staff, round the clock residential life coaches and night watch staff; licensed therapeutic clinicians (LMFT, Ph.D; MD levels) for weekly/bi-monthly individual therapy and the program is owner-operated. Benchmark requires a minimum of six months, with the typical length of stay being 12 months. We can accommodate Court Order Length-of-Stays (LOS) for as long as necessary, to complete Court Order commitment. Typical Court Order LOS has been 6-12 months, however we have students court ordered as long as 36-48 months.
